Computer Science finalist at Machakos University graduating with a Second Upper Honours. I build full-stack web applications, with a focus on real-world solutions for the Kenyan context from civic tech to B2B platforms.
I'm Victor Mauti Cosmas, a final-year Computer Science student at Machakos University graduating in 2025 with a Second Upper Class Honours degree. Over the past few years I've grown from learning the basics of the web into someone who ships real, deployed applications from full-stack MERN systems to blockchain canisters and Telegram trading bots.
I'm drawn to projects that solve practical problems. GovTrack Kenya, my flagship project, was built because lost government documents are a real pain point for Kenyan citizens; so I built a system to fix that. That same mindset drives everything I build: find a problem, understand it well, then engineer a clean solution.
My technical range covers frontend development (React, HTML/CSS), backend systems (Node.js, Express), databases (MongoDB), and extends into Web3 territory I've worked with the Solana blockchain and ICP canisters. I'm comfortable on Ubuntu, deploy with Vercel and Render, and maintain a clean Git workflow.
I'm open to full-time roles, internships, and freelance collaborations particularly in Kenya's growing tech space. If you need someone who can go from idea to deployed product, let's talk.
A full-stack MERN civic tech application for tracking lost or misplaced government documents in Kenya. Features an admin dashboard with tabbed document management, editable status dropdowns for found items, email notification system (Resend API), and a public portal for citizens to report and track documents.
A web-based school management portal for a tech institution, enabling student registration, course enrollment, and academic tracking. Built with a clean interface and structured backend for handling student data and administrative workflows.
This portfolio — a single-page HTML site with a monospace-green aesthetic, smooth scroll navigation, animated hero, skills grid, project cards, and certifications section. Deployed on GitHub Pages for zero-cost hosting.
A basic fungible token canister built on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) blockchain. Implements core token operations including minting, transferring, and balance queries using Motoko or Rust smart contract logic deployed on an ICP canister.
A Telegram bot integrated with the Solana blockchain for automated memecoin trading. Allows users to track token prices, execute buy/sell swaps, and receive real-time alerts — all directly from a Telegram chat interface.
A WhatsApp automation bot that automatically views contacts' statuses, enabling passive engagement and status tracking without manual interaction. Built using WhatsApp Web APIs and a Node.js backend running on a local or cloud server.
Open to full-time roles, freelance projects, and collaborations. If you're building something interesting, especially in Kenya's tech ecosystem — let's connect.
